Pat Porter

The dark clouds and rumbling sky reflect my mood today.

I sometimes wish the world would stop for a moment, so everyone could take a breath.

Pat Porter

It is with a heavy heart that I make note of another loss in the running community. Pat Porter was killed in a plane crash July 26th.

My condolences to all of Pat's friends and family. He was such an inspiration to so many runners.

  1. Yes, that was sad. I knew the name from stories in Runner's World & Running Times. Dangerous airport going by the TV reports.

By the way, on the ankle taping issue - how are you going? Have you tried those elastic ankle supports you can buy in drug stores? My mate has actually switched to the cheap versions from $2 shops as he says they work just as well and you can toss them once they become too dirty.

  2. Thank you, Ewen! I'm doing much better with the ankle. It's a tiny bit sore still, but I think it's going to be OK. I will keep the ankle support in mind though. That's good to know. I used an infrared light on the sore ankle for a few days, and that really helped it along.
